Global Freight and Logistics Provider

Total Visibility, One Vendor, Zero Guesswork Across a National Facility Portfolio.

AT A GLANCE

Industry: Global Freight and Logistics
Platform: Avigilon Access Control and Video, Bosch Intrusion Detection, fully integrated
Scope: 5 large-scale facilities, 100 to 150 cameras and 15 to 20 readers per site
Compliance: C-TPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism)

SUMMARY

A global freight and logistics provider opening new large-scale facilities across the United States needed a single security partner capable of designing, installing, and servicing a standardized integrated security system at every location, with full remote visibility and the infrastructure to support C-TPAT compliance requirements. Over a seven-year partnership, Alen Security has deployed fully integrated Avigilon access control and video surveillance paired with Bosch intrusion detection across five facilities, with 100 to 150 cameras and 15 to 20 card readers per site, all manageable from a single interface. The Regional Facilities

Manager now has real-time visibility into every location from one screen, backed by a proven deployment playbook that delivers consistent security infrastructure on schedule and to compliance standard with every new facility.

THE CLIENT

A global freight and logistics provider operating a network of large-scale facilities across the United States, including warehouse, distribution, and office environments. With significant cargo value moving through each location and strict international trade compliance requirements to uphold, the company required a physical security program built for enterprise scale, remote management, and long-term consistency.

THE CHALLENGE

As the company opened new facilities across multiple states, leadership identified a clear set of requirements that traditional fragmented security deployments could not meet. They needed remote visibility into every location from a single interface, a single accountable vendor to plan, install, and service every system, and a standardized approach that could be replicated consistently as the portfolio grew. Managing multiple vendors, inconsistent platforms, and disconnected systems across a national footprint was not a viable path at this scale.

Compliance with C-TPAT, the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism program, added an additional layer of security infrastructure requirements that the platform and deployment process needed to support from the ground up.

THE SOLUTION

Over a seven-year partnership, Alen Security has designed, installed, and now services five large-scale facilities for the client, with each location receiving a fully integrated security system built on three platforms working in concert.

Avigilon provides the access control and video surveillance infrastructure, with between 100 and 150 cameras per site and 15 to 20 card readers per location covering all access points across warehouse floors, distribution areas, and office environments. Bosch intrusion detection is integrated directly into the same management ecosystem, enabling the Regional Facilities Manager to monitor access events, live and recorded video, and alarm activity from a single interface regardless of which location they are viewing.

Every deployment follows the same standardized planning, installation, and commissioning process that Alen developed specifically for this client, ensuring each new facility comes online with the same configuration, documentation, and service baseline as those before it.

THE RESULT

The Regional Facilities Manager has complete remote visibility across all five locations from one screen. Every access event, camera feed, and intrusion alert is accessible in real time without requiring on-site presence. The single-vendor model means one call resolves any issue at any location, and ongoing service follows the same documented process at every site.

The integrated platform supports the company’s C-TPAT compliance requirements, providing the access control infrastructure, video documentation, and audit capability that the program demands.

Seven years in, the relationship operates as a true extension of the client’s facilities function. Each new location follows a proven playbook, delivering consistent security infrastructure on schedule and to compliance standard from day one.
